It offers RTK accuracy of 7 mm + 1 ppm, and with tilt compensation achieves 2 mm + 0.3 mm/° precision. Operating as both base and rover, it supports 915 MHz LoRa and 450 MHz UHF NTRIP communication. Powered by a Li_Ion battery, the RS4 runs up to 16 hours on a single charge, with USB Type_C charging available. Its magnesium alloy body, IP68 dust_ and waterproof rating, and wide operating temperature range from _40 °C to +65 °C make it ideal for harsh field conditions. High Accuracy With 672 channels, the EMLID Reach RS4 can track 40+ satellites at a time from all major constellations (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS, and NavIC). With support for L1, L2, and the lower L5 and L6 band frequencies, it ensures strong multipath resistance and reliable signal reception. The Reach RS4 thus delivers reliable performance and centimeter-level accuracy with 7 mm + 1 ppm precision in RTK mode. The receiver achieves a fixed RTK solution in less than 5 seconds, providing fast and dependable positioning in the field. Next-gen tilt compensation The Reach RS4 comes factory_calibrated, ensuring instant readiness with no need for field adjustments. Its tilt compensation works reliably under all conditions and is immune to magnetic interference, maintaining accuracy even near metal objects. With faster initialisation and no angle limit, it provides precise measurements even at steep tilts. The compensation mechanism activates with just a few moves and remains stable throughout the survey, saving time and avoiding the need for recalibration. Base and rover The Reach RS4 can operate as both base and rover, supporting RTK work with VRS or a single baseline CORS network in RTCM3 format. You can also connect another GNSS receiver as an NTRIP base using EMLID NTRIP Caster. It features a dual_band radio system: · UHF 450 MHz for transmit and receive, with up to 2 W output (may require a license), compatible with Reach and 3rd_party receivers that support TRIMTALK 450S. · LoRa 915 MHz for transmit and receive, with up to 1 W output (license_free in North America), compatible with Reach receivers. Built to perform in extreme conditions The Reach RS4's magnesium alloy body is both light and exceptionally durable, similar to materials used in aerospace and high-end electronics. This combination ensures strength and ease of handling, even in the toughest environments. With up to 16 hours of continuous operation on a single charge, the RS4 is designed for long field days. It can be recharged via USB-C or powered by a portable power bank for added flexibility. Thanks to its IP68 rating, the receiver is completely dustproof and waterproof, continuing to operate reliably in rain, snow, or dusty construction sites. Operating temperatures range from -40°C to +65°C, ensuring consistent performance in both extreme cold and intense heat. Software for every stage of your project The Reach RS4 includes EMLID Flow, a complete mobile and cloud-based solution compatible with iOS and Android.
